Happy Halloween/ Samhain everyone!

Soo pumped. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Anddd I got a beautiful little halloween gift from the goddess, a beautiful ray of sunshine pushed through the horrible groggy clouds. So, many thanks for that.

I woke up feeling revived and happy, a feeling I always get on halloween.
In Wicca All Hallows Eve is the beginning of a new year on the Witches Calender. Think of it as New Years Eve. Soo of course there will be much food tonight to celebrate. Day of the Dead Tacos, Butternut Squash soup, Cookies, wine... all of the good stuff...and of course candy.

In a few we will be going out for a holiday brunch at our favorite diner.

Today I will be donning my new skeleton shirt(hence the title of todays post) My moonstone pentagram and my beautiful skull cross earrings made for me by my friends mommy Trish Ritter, who is a beautiful wonderful person.

Later we will watch scary movies and call on some spirits via The Ouija Board( because you just have to on halloween)

Rain drops on my boots.

Rainy days=Boot days.

I find the best time to break out my docs or any of my boots is on rainy days. They are sturdy and can stand the water plus most have a nice grip on the bottom so I don't fall flat on my ass...which is always a plus. So take advantage of this Stormy Sandy weather up here and break out your bad ass boots.

she is a comin'

everyone in the city is freaking out of course. In the grocery store yesterday there were so many people trying to stock up just in case the power went out or they ran out of food etc.
It was pretty hilarious.
Me being a floridian am pretty used to this.
But I wish Sandy would pass and let some sunlight through the clouds. You know me without my sun...I cry inside.
But also thanks to Sandy my friend Lance who has been visiting got his flight canceled! So he gets to stay a few extra days.
Also Halloween is in a few days! Super excited. In the spirit of things I bought a new skeleton top which I am super pumped to break out.

As you know I am obsessed with free people. I'm on the site almost everyday dreaming about buying all the pretty magical clothes. I also think they have a killer blog which I also read every day. Here are a few pictures from their recent posts.

Tonight I am going to the weekly free comedy show at the Irish Exit for some wings, drinks and friend time. My handsome boyfriend Stevie will be joining. Can't wait to laugh my butt off while drinking some good old Malibu Pineapple.

Also speaking of Stevie. Our 4 year anniversary is tomorrow! shit...we have been together for a while. (Meant in the sweetest sense)

I love that crazy kid. He has really changed me as a person. We have been through so much together. I can't see myself living life without him. I love him so much. I knew from the moment I met him that he would be my one and only forever.
That's never going to change.

I know some people don't believe in it but I believe in soulmates. Once you find yours...you just know.

Tucci daze

So yesterday we went to the food network food and wine festival. We got to taste free espresso and meet Stanley Tucci! he was so nice. I nearly fainted. But we bought his book( which I am excited to read) and got it signed and took pictures with him. It was amazing. Then we went to get some good old red wine and chinese food for lunch where Stevie was hit on many times by our waiter.

Later we are off to our wonderful 3 Decker Diner for some delicious brunch and then later today we are off to two museums for Stormy's class. Museums are growing on me more and more so i'm excited.

and i bought a new teacup! It's adorable and I feel so fancy drinking my tea in it.

Pumpkin days and full moon nights

So one of my favorite holidays is coming up!Halloween. I love the energy about it. there is always a tingle of magic and mystery that I love. Alsooo halloween brings pumpkins, apple cider, tea and adorable black cats. 

Also update on amazing things to come.

One of my best friends Lance will soon be joining Stormy Stevie in our humble abode for a few days. We will be celebrating his birthday with drinks, food and merriment.

I can't wait! 

Also I can't wait to go home. i miss my family so much and when the holidays start rolling around i'm always jumpy to get back to them to celebrate.

Winter is coming

So the temps have finally dropped in NYC. I promise I will try and not complain so much about the cold temps this year. I am determined to embrace the cold weather. Starting with investing in some beautiful warm winter jackets, buying hot cocoa and drinking my new apple cider spice tea.
